Playing Fractazmic Rummy (2-4 Players)

This game resembles the game Gin Rummy.  This game can be played with 2 to 4 players.

Object of the Game

The object of Fractazmic Rummy is to gather as many hands as possible before the first player runs out of cards and to be caught with as few cards as possible in your hand. Cards can be played from the hand at any time by having a sum of 1 within any given suit. Cards are played by laying the cards in front of the player.

Game Play

Cards are shuffled and 7 cards dealt to each player. If there are any cards that can be played by any player having a sum of 1 in their hand, they can play them now (a sum).

The player to the left (clockwise) of the dealer starts by drawing a card off the remaining deck. That player can play a sum at this time if they have one. The player then discards one card face up to the discard pile.

The next player can draw from the discard pile, or from the remaining deck – and proceed the same as the first player. If there are multiple cards in the discard pile, they should be discarded so that all cards are visible.

A player can pull a card from the discard pile from any position – but they must also pull all cards that are on top of the card they pull.

Play ends when the first player runs out of cards. Each sum played is worth one point. Every card that a player has in their hand at the end of the play is worth ¼ - regardless of face value and is subtracted from their total score.

The winner is whoever accumulates the most points through multiple hands of play.
